This winter we continued our 1,000 hours outside challenge with lots of hours in the backyard, national parks, the zoo, etc. We celebrated James turning 11! Unbelievable! We ate lunch in an igloo at a place in Columbia (which was our first restaurant experience since the pandemic started) and met my sister and her kids and my dad at the zoo. James wanted an ocean themed cake and helped me make it! He got a slack line course for the backyard. We also had a valentine's/Prairie Thief (our living literature unit) party which the boys loved so much and took so much ownership over.
