Goodbye 2015, Hello 2016

2015 was an eventful year with our third baby boy's birth topping the charts on the list of praises! Other praises: a new place of ministry with a perfect fit for us and the Lord graciously allowing our house to sell in the first month, friends!! (we've been in such lonely places of ministry with very few people our age or our children's ages and I'm so thankful!!), a great first year of homeschooling (half way through!), children that are thriving!

January is already proving to be a busy, exciting month. James started basketball and scored four baskets at his first game. It's 3 on 3 so he had lots of playing time, but still I was so happy for him because he was so nervous that he wouldn't know what to do. We have a D-Now weekend for our youth next weekend, and I pray that it's a great time of growth for them spiritually, unity among the group, and that our group would continue to grow. I pray that we would have longevity and favor here in this place of ministry where God has clearly directed us. We will be heading back to Disney in about 10 days!! We had been saving for it and I had been dropping all of my paychecks from my little part-time position (before moving here) into savings because we wanted to go back so badly after our first trip, and our pastor is going to let us keep the vacation that we had already planned at our former church. I'm so excited and pray, pray, pray that everyone will be healthy. Since September we've had hand food mouth, stomach bugs, respiratory issues and asthma, croup, walking pneumonia (me), and now Joah has an ear infection and Jude is throwing up (just today)! Whew! I am praying that this sickness be behind us, and please pray that for us too! We are also looking forward to James turning six years old when we get back from Disney, although I can't believe we are old enough to have a child that is 6! He is pumped to have a little Star Wars party with some of his sweet friends when we return. :)

Here is our "instagram top 9" from 2015 and praying for an even more incredible 2016!

December visit to Columbia

We went to Columbia after Christmas and got to see my sister and Thomas, (my) parents, and grandparents! It was a quick visit and rained (flood levels at my Dad's) the whole time but we had a good visit! We went to the zoo with my mom and did bridge walking at my Dad's and celebrated Christmas with everyone.

Fun Fact: This gorilla moved from our zoo to the one in Columbia so we had to go find it on our visit!

So Many December Pictures!!

December was a full month in every possible way. This will be picture overload. And I still have another post of our trip to visit family in South Carolina! These also uploaded in a crazy random order...

The theme of our staff Christmas party was Hillbilly Christmas. This is the best/worst I have ever looked. We got the second place award that night. People went ALL out, and there was even a live chicken purchased and brought in a cage. Lots of fun! So thankful for my church family. Also, no real baby bump and Mt. Dew that comes in bottle form... just want to put that out there.

These next few are from Christmas Eve. The boys got matching puppy pajamas and a personalized book that they love - thank you, Groupon!

Christmas Morning! Everyone got three gifts that they really wanted (Joah was clueles but got three gifts)...this has become our tradition. They still had so much to play with and shared toys amongst each other. They had the best day (in our 80 degree weather) playing inside and outside with new and old toys and splashing in puddles. The little things are always the big things.

Gingerbread making at home and with some sweet friends. Trader Joe's had dye free kits for so cheap! I'm still so thankful when we find these products that work for the needs of our boys.

Zoolight Safari! We always ride the train around the zoo to get a great view of all the lights.

Back to Behlehem. A walkthrough Nativity story where we got to see a few of our students participating (it was another church's event.)

James sang with the children's choir in church!

Our wonderful pastor and his sweet wife at Hillbilly Christmas!

Helping feed our baby!

We dressed like Christmas Characters for our youth Christmas party! Should we be sad or proud we owned all of this (minus the Christmas hats. Should we be ashamed or proud that Joah is dressed as Cousin Eddie??)

7 cousins under 7!

Grandpa refurbished his highchair for Joah! I really wanted a wooden one and this was so special.

Ant Farm for school...and the ants are still going strong!

we made salt dough oranges as gifts and I made some for our tree too!

1st Time Pulling up!!
