South Carolina Visit (Part 2)

James and I spent about 10 days in South Carolina visiting my family. It was a long, overdue visit and it was great to see everyone. 

Here are some highlights from our time with Grandma and Aunt Megan: playing with Aunt Megan, eating at some of our favorite, unique-to-Columbia places, a little shopping, a zoo trip, playground fun, fun in the (FREEZING!) pool, bubble blowing, and more!

Highlights from Granddaddy and Nana's house: playground fun complete with a very scary (to Mama) slide that James loved going down, fun on the Palmetto Trail Bridge, seeing Bolt and Ira (my dad's dogs), finding a turtle with Grandaddy and naming him "Tree", fun at Pine Lake, and more!

Mother's Day 2012

It was so sweet to hear "Happy Mother's Day, Mama" (and a couple of times, "Happy Birthday, Mama!") throughout the day on Sunday. James told Stephen he wanted to buy me a washing machine or a car (completely unprompted) when Stephen asked, but they settled on a balloon and a card with a dog on it from James. I love being his Mama!

Pet Lizard (for a day!)
