Jude turns 7, Josie month 2 and 3, Fourth of July, Very Strange Summer (Part 1)

The last few months have included Jude turning SEVEN! (with a Scoob movie and ice cream sundae party (at home this year), adjusting to life as a family of 6 and watching Josie grow so fast (she will be three months old tomorrow), and trying to enjoy our summer in the midst of very strange times in our world with swimming, one on one dates with the boys, family hikes and walks in the neighborhood, summer reading, etc. We have been mostly at home (in our new home and town), and have gotten out when we can to do socially distanced things that don't require our kiddos to be masked up (since Josie can't wear one and Joah wears one minimally). Stephen really loves our new ministry here (I am so glad he does and really believed that he would!), and we look forward to the days that we can all be involved fully without social distancing/masks in this very special place. Our family has gotten to be at Connie Maxwell for outdoor church services when we were having them and for socially distanced fireworks (which Josie loved and was not at all scared of) a few days before the 4th but it hasn't been a typical CM summer. We look forward to that (prayerfully!) next summer! It's a crazy time for everyone and especially for pastors trying to love people at a distance. Here are some pictures from the last few months (many of Josie as she grows and changes so quickly!).
