James' Birthday Party

James had a great 6th Birthday. His birthday fell on a Friday this year, so we decided to have his party that evening on his actual birthday. (We also went out on Stephen's lunch break to Chickfila for a special birthday lunch for him - James' choice!) This also allowed my family from out of town to spend the day with us on Saturday and see his basketball games as well. James really wanted a Star Wars theme and he wanted to have laser tag. I came across a company that rents laser tag equipment for a price that was much better than going to a laser tag place and they were able to play for several hours in the church gym (and then use the guns the rest of the weekend too!) It was a hit with James and his friends. We spray painted and stacked boxes as barricade to hide behind. This year I was just so happy to have so many sweet friends there for him (and, of course, our family) and am so thankful for all of the young families that the Lord has blessed us with here that are in similar seasons of life and becoming such a special part of our life.
