We are fortunate to have Stephen's parents, Nana and Grandpa, here in town with us and were very thankful that they were able to be here for Jude's arrival and help with James as well. I was also very happy that my mom, Grandma K, was able to drive into town in time for Jude's arrival. It was great to have some family members meet him in the hospital, and we are looking forward to many more family members and friends meeting him very soon!

My mom picked up some doughnuts on the way in to celebrate Jude's arrival on National Doughnut Day. Stephen's parents also brought some the following morning for James' Big Brother Party, and we had some family and friends celebrate Jude's arrival from afar by eating doughnuts in his honor. Here are the pictures they shared on Instagram...
Aunt Leah (who first informed us of National Donut Day) took her boys to eat donuts in honor of Jude all the way in New Orleans, Louisiana. It made us feel very loved! |
And in Charleston, South Carolina my sweet college friend Jamie Lee ate donuts for our Jude. Jamie Lee and I ran to Dunkin Donuts in college, ate, and ran back to campus. Sweet, sweet memories.
